Overview

This Apple Swift training class teaches developers how to write programs using Apple's Swift language. Students will learn how to define variables, constants, and collections such as arrays, sets, and dictionaries. Conditional constructs, looping, and arithmetic are covered in detail. Students will learn the nuances of object-oriented programming in the Swift language. Functions and lambdas are also covered.

 

The target audience for this course is:

  1. Those who want to learn Swift but not for iOS development (e.g., macOS desktop development, web development using a framework like Perfect, etc.).
  2. Those who already have extensive iOS development experience but who are migrating to Swift (e.g., Objective-C developers).

Class Prerequisites

Experience in the following is required for this Apple Swift class:

  • All attendees should have previous programming experience using an object-oriented language such as Objective-C, C#, Java, or C++.
