Successful completion of this three-day, instructor-facilitated course will enhance the student?s understanding of how to troubleshoot the full line of Palo Alto Networks Next Generation firewalls.

Students will receive hands-on experience troubleshooting the security, networking, threat prevention, logging, and reporting features of the Palo Alto Networks Operating System (PAN-OS).

Upon completion of this class, students will have an in-depth knowledge of how to troubleshoot visibility and control over applications, users, and content.

Labs

You will spend approximately 50% of class in hands-on labs.

This course is recommended for security engineers, network engineers, and support staff. Students will learn to troubleshoot the full line of Palo Alto Networks Next Generation firewalls. In addition, students will receive hands-on experience troubleshooting the security, networking, threat prevention, logging, and reporting features of the Palo Alto Networks Operating System (PAN-OS) as well as how to troubleshoot visibility and control over applications, users, and content.

Prior to attending this course, students should have

  • Completed the Essentials 1: Firewall Installation, Configuration, and Management class as well as the Essentials 2: Extended Firewall Management class or have equivalent experience
  • Basic familiarity with networking concepts including routing, switching, IP addressing, and basic port-based security concepts and the PAN-OS CLI
